person in my field that I admire
Hello everyone! Today I'm going to tell you about a woman who was very important in attachment theory, her name is Mary Ainsworth. My admiration for her is because she opened a great step in something that is very interesting to me, and she managed to carry out very important studies and this is attachment theory, although her theory has critics, this managed to be a great advance since she managed to identify 3 types of attachment, and also made clear the importance of the relationship of the caregiver with the baby
Now I'm going to leave you a little bit about his bibliography. Mary Ainsworth was an American psychologist born in Glendale, Ohio in 1913, graduated in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto and earned her doctorate in 1939. She is considered today a pioneer in attachment studies, she was a very influential psychologist and today her contributions continue to be a pillar on which to build more studies in psychology.
I'm also going to mention her experiment called "The Strange Situation", she wanted to study in detail the types of attachment and that's why she created that experiment. I also want to mention that Mary Ainsworth was a disciple of Bowlby, he was a psychoanalyst who was interested in knowing how childhood experiences can influence adult life, after him, Ainsworth continued the research and delved into this.
hi I didn’t know about it in particular, I will look for more information!
